Finally got some GPU tasks to run but both failed in 3 seconds with a computation error.
The computer is a desktop with Win7
MB SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 Rev 1.xx
Processor is 4.33 gigahertz AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 64 bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 [Display adapter] (2x)

Anybody have an idea why the computation failed.

Thanks for any help.

The CUDA app requires Visual Studio 2015 c++ redistributable package installed to run.

Maybe thats the problem?

What error do you get?

Other than the standard notice of computation failure nothing. I would guess that Boinc keeps a message somewhere but I have no idea where to look.

I remember that there are 2 versions of Boinc and I don't remember if I installed the full set or not.

I downloaded and installed BOINC with Virtual Box and still have the same computation error.

I am wondering if there is a driver problem.

I have same problem here. I just wanted to participate with the project, but gpu tasks are constantly failing. So I've edited my settings to get tasks only for cpu, but I don't get any... My card is GT 630m. So I'm humbly asking to whoever is responsible for this - Are there going to be any fixes of this problem or not? Other projects don't have such annoying issues... And BTW... Volunteers are people who shouldn't be annoyed here...

The CPU tasks "Enigma AV" have been jammed in the feeder for weeks.

My GTX 1060 3GB is running tasks now on the Forceware driver of February 2019.

Assuming you are on Windows; first make sure you have all the C++ distributables. TechPowerUp has an all-in-one installer here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/
If that doesn't fix it then, for your driver; your GT 630m is 2012 model. Try stepping back to a driver of no newer than 2014. Try some of the non-WHQL drivers.

nVidia GPU's running Enigma require enough CPU to properly function. If CPU starved the child process of the wrapper will error out.
A project like Amicable Numbers (that violates the idle priority process rule of BOINC) running on a 2nd GPu in your machine will starve out Enigma resulting in quick and constant failures.

Curious which one.

OpenCL changed libraries that weren't backward compatible at some time.
