Would someone who is successfully using a Nvidia GTX 970 please reply with your driver number.
I am looking to solve a computation situation/error and wonder if the driver I am using is the problem.

Your error from your results page is:

195 (0x000000C3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED

It seems more like a blocked ENIGMA_CUDA.EXE child process.

Start up a task/process manager (I use Process Hacker) and watch the processes as BOINC loads a new WU.
wrappergpu_1.10.xxxxx should load into memory then it should possibly load a console.exe first then load enigma_cuda.exe process.
If I remember correctly, Windows 7 didn't need the console.exe but Windows 8 and later it's used as the calling process that passes command prompt variables to enigma_cuda.exe.

I suspect your anti-virus of blocking enigma_cuda.exe as Potentially Unwanted Process. It might be from a later Windows Update to Windows 7 Firewall/Defender. You can whitelist the entire BOINC data directory. ON a BOINC only machine behind a firewall, I shut down all security that sniffs for PUP's, etc.

Also, if the downloaded copy of enigma_cuda.exe is corrupted, a project reset would redownload the exe.

I removed all anti-virus type software, reset Enigma and did a system restart.

I installed Process Hacker, did a system restart, open PH and watched as enigmaathome.net downloaded 2 new WUs. The bar went to green as the wrapper started and then went to Red as the WUS failed.

You mentioned enigma_cuda.exe and so I opened Everything and did a search for the file. Everything does not show that the file exists. Is the cuda file a stand alone file or is it buried inside some routine like an xml and therefore not seen by Everything?

Looking in one of the Enigma xml files I saw this

<no_cuda>0</no_cuda>

Does that mean anything?

The running processes with children look like this on my Windows 10 under Process Hacker processes view (notice the wrapper changes the name of the running child process from it's directory name shown in my next picture):

If you change that to '1' then it would stop Cuda work units. My GTX 1060 3GB uses the cuda app and my RX 550 used the OpenCl app, although the apps page here doesn't show the OpenCl even running.

I was able to recreate this error by trying to run more WU than the 3GB on board the 1060 could handle.

Exit status 195 (0x000000C3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED

That leaves open the possibilities of a driver problem (I'm using a pretty new driver, latest from February) or memory error.
Don't think you are trying to run more than 1 WU at once.

Clearly I am in over my head in this discussion.
Think i need to move on and work other projects.

Got some help from another Boinc project and an upgrade to the drivers solved the problem.
