After a few weeks of testing, I decided to update the Windows application to the latest development version.

V5.26 fixes all bugs related to progress indicator and checkpoint reporting, as well as many other minor glitches. If it doesn't work for some reason on your system, please let me know.

5.26 for Linux is coming soon.

Hi TJM,

Is the Linux app going to be released w/ source code? Or are you going to use Open64 from the get-go?

The app itself wasn't changed, only the wrapper and it does not affect performance in any way.

Symantec (aka, Norton's) is detecting wrapper_5.26_windows_intelx86.exe as threat and is quarantining it (46 times since yesterday)

Kaspersky did the same until I manually set the wrapper to trusted.

But now I see there is a 2 wu daily quota. Isn't that a bit conservative? True, I occasionally abort wu's when they got too close to their due date and thought a quota was necessary, but two?

Daily quota haven't been touched for a long time and it's set to 250/core.
If your host has quota of 2 then probably something is wrong. Have you checked host's results list ?

Unless you are using one of the "optimized" apps, the project will make sure you have the correct version of the software. The exception to this is the BOINC client itself; I've found it rather odd that they haven't come up with an auto-update feature.

Who knows, maybe this week. First I have serious server issues to resolve.

Righto. I didn't mean to put on the pressure, we just hadn't heard anything for a while after you said it would be a while. ;) Server issues certainly trump. Good luck and thanks for all the back side work.

So ... is there any sign of the 5.26 for Linux? I'd really like those fixes to checkpoint and completion ratio reporting ;)
