Message 1857 - Posted: 30 Nov 2010, 12:14:49 UTC

Since 11/17/2010 I have been getting "Temporarily failed download of 00trigr.2_1941: HTTP error"-listed in Transfers. Besides that, I have 16 tasks (Application-Enigma 0.76b 5.26) that have a status of downloading but are sitting in Tasks to be worked. 6 of these have due dates of today, 11/30/2010.

I see that the servers are all up and running and I can't seem to find what might be causing this error. Suggestions?

Blessings,
Sandy

The server is a bit overloaded so from time to time downloads/uploads are working slowly or not working at all. Just retry all transfer a few times, perhaps that will help.

TJM:
Thanks for your reply. I will continue doing that but it has been almost 2 weeks for the download problem with the one WU. The other 16, I can't tell how long it's been since I was on vacation and I keep the computer running 24/7. Luckily, the are 13 minute projects and hopefully they'll get done today.

Blessings,
Sandy

Just abort any tasks stuck with "downloading" status. The server will eventually resend them.
00trigr.2_1941 is available at the download dir, so if the client can't download it, it must be a glitch.

Or it auto-aborts them, as it seems.

See http://www.enigmaathome.net/workunit.php?wuid=17517506, where the "Too many errors (may have bug)" is activated after 1 result is returned erroneously. A bit too quickly.

Yep, I also noticed that. For now the reason is unknown, perhaps it is somehow related to high average load, as I've noticed small glitches from time to time, caused probably by loosing communication with the database.
It happens only if the first result has been marked as invalid.
The problem didn't exist in the previous server revision I used.
