Hey,

New here, noticed this in the projects area in BOINC recently. I am interested in history and I think this has become my new pet project for spare CPU work cycles ;)

I like to switch between projects occasionally, but I will probably have my computers doing 24/7 crunching on this last code for the next few weeks to help you guys out.

It seems like you guys have figured out a fairly good way of comparison, as to how long it would take to break certain things, or how many hrs of cpu time you have used.

I was wondering (out of my own curiosity) if I were to post the specs for my crunching machines, could you perhaps give me an estimate to how much "help" I can be?...

If not, no biggie lol, either way, nice to meet a group of people who share and interest in both the unknown and in history.

noticed how slow these forums are and decided I would post my system stats now rather than latter, in case you guys are able to give me an idea of my contribution :)

Main rig runs a Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 3.6Ghz

Secondary Rig runs a Pentium Dual core E6300 (core 2 based dual) @2.8Ghz

Home server runs an old P4 3.0E @3.0Ghz with hyperthreading.

All rigs have 2+GB ram.

Thanks again!
