It looks like Alan Turing has been officially pardoned, after 61 years. I wonder if his continuing work could have shortened the war even more, had he not lost his job?

It is highly likely he would have contributed a lot more towards ending the European theater portion of the war. Not likely the Japanese would have given up as easily without the A-bombs or eventually without a lot of American GIs getting killed invading the home island.
