Hi!

I've been running a few projects on BOINC for many years now on several computers, the projects has always been able to balance the CPU resources so that all of the projects has ran somewhat evenly. Some time ago I also joinde Enigma, and now, when accepting new tasks from the project, there's only Enigma tasks running on the computer.

So my question: why does Enigma claim all available CPU cores for it self? Seems like the only solution is to opt out of the project... =(

Tom

I get that too when I enable tasks from a 2nd project. The new project pauses all of the other tasks that were running. Sometimes I think its due to different deadlines but that doesn't always line up. I assume that eventually they will start alternating based off your % preferences.

If you start and stop projects manually, you'll get that kind of behavior because the BOINC client is trying to balance out the credit per your resource share. So, a project that hasn't been allowed to do work for a while will grab a bunch and try to catch up.
