Posted 13 Sep 2009 by Grubix Post: You DO have permission to be running BOINC on these computers, don't you? Yes. The computers are my property, I can do with it what I want. :-) Only the proxy does not belong to me. Before you ask, I have permission to use the proxy, the access to the Internet here is a bit complicated... :-( Thanks for the worried you have done. ;-) ----------------------------- TJM, I took a computer home with me. I connected it to my home DSL access (without proxy). I got the same error (Project file upload handler is missing), so the problem does not lie in the proxy. Good news for me, bad for you. ;-) I would say we wait until all my computers are reset. And then we'll see what happens. Bye, Grubix. |

Posted 12 Sep 2009 by Grubix Post: OK, many thanks for your help. If the problem comes from the proxy, then you should pardon the work I've done to you. I have no access to the proxy. Since it is the only way to the internet for me, I can not change anything. If you want, you can look one last time in the log. The IP is right, I have just checked again. At 22:30 UTC I have tried twice the upload from 7 WUs. Unsuccessful. Thanks again for your help. I'm going to reset the project on all the computers. Maybe it helps. :-) Have a nice weekend, Grubix. |

Posted 12 Sep 2009 by Grubix Post: The last few days, i have seen no new WUs which could not be uploaded. I will however continue to monitor. The number of the old WUs are going now smaller. The BOINC-Client is "tired" and gives up. ;-) 11.09.2009 21:07:47|Enigma@Home|Started upload of awgly100_0_xUDb_0_0_0 Bye, Grubix. |

Posted 9 Sep 2009 by Grubix Post: ... Could you check, if you can access the upload handler directly in the web browser (I'm assuming that your browser uses the same proxy) ? The browser uses the same proxy. When I enter the address, I get the message that you mention. <data_server_reply> <status>1</status> <message>no command</message> </data_server_reply> I try to describe how the upload looks. But in English it is not easy for me: A working upload: ----------------- 1. The WU is e.g. at 0 / 116 bytes. 2. The transmission starts, it sends a request to Enigma. 3. I get a response from the server. 4. Data is sent to the server. 5. The display switches to 116/116 byte. 6. I get a response from the server. 7. The WU is uploaded and disappears from the display. A not working upload: --------------------- 1. The WU is e.g. at 0 / 116 bytes. 2. The transmission starts, it sends a request to Enigma. 3. I get a response from the server. 4. The display switches to 114/116 byte or 323/116 byte (see screenshot) 6. I get the "Project file upload handler is missing" message. There are currently about 10% of the WUs are concerned, the other 90% will be uploaded without difficulty. ... post it to the public ... Posted 7 Sep 2009 by Grubix Post: I thought it is related to the problem from the other thread (upload handler). But I have also since few days "Validate error". Phenom 9950: 8083580, 8083567, 8083566, 8083555, 8083553, 8083551, 8083550, 8083544, 8083539, 8083536, 8083535, 8083534, 8083533, 8083532, 8083489, 8083488, 8083487, 8083467, 8083425, 8083412, 8083380, 8083331 ... Athlon X2 6400: 8047265, 8047238. The computers have been running for many months without any problems. Other projects (Yoyo, QMC) run without errors. I do not remember until 3 days before that i ever have a "Validate error". I always use on any computer optimized application: Phenom 9950, Athlon X2 6400 -> OptApp: Athlon64 I will check the computer if I can find any other errors. I will report on Wednesday. |

Posted 13 May 2009 by Grubix Post: OK, I've added a 32-bit Core optimized app... Thank you, but the app is not faster than P3 version. I have tested all the 32bit versions from your archive. Here are the benchmark values. CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66GHz OS: Linux, 2.6.28-11-generic (Kubuntu 9.04) 3:36,11 (standard app) 3:33,38 -> -1,16% (Opteron32) 3:29,02 -> -3,28% (Barcelona32) 3:28,52 -> -3,51% (Athlon64fx32) 3:28,29 -> -3,62% (Athlon64_32) 3:26,39 -> -5,49% (Intel-Core_32) 3:06,59 -> -13,66% (Athlon_32) By, Grubix. |

Posted 11 May 2009 by Grubix Post: I did not run benchmark, i have only restarted BOINC. Furthermore, i change the rights to "rwxrwxrwx", more is not possible. I will try only to copy the file, not to change any rights. PS: I search the forum for "benchmark", but don't found how do i run it. |

Posted 11 May 2009 by Grubix Post: Hello Buninek. I have tried your client, but he is not running. I will describe what I have done: 1. installed opt app from TJM, it runs since days 2. unpack the bz2 file 3. rename "enigma_static" to "enigma_0.76_i686-pc-linux-gnu" 4. stop BOINC 5. copy the file to the project folder (overwrite the existing file) 6. change owner and rights: "-rwxr-xr-x 1 boinc boinc" 7. start BOINC I have unfortunately only calculation errors. :-( Here are two links: 5333390 or 5333330 I have found that "app exit status: 0x6c00" means: the app is non-executable But it is executable, i have checked it. What i am doing wrong? Thanks for your help, Grubix. |
