I was pretty worried for the health of TJM when the site went completely offline for a few days. The fact it came back up probably means he is ok. Just not working on this project for other life reasons. Plus, I believe there is another project with parallel purpose using a different technology so I can see how it would be hard to devote all one's spare time to this project while the other project breaks all the messages.

But BOINC projects in general don't seem to put much effort into maintaining versions of their compute modules for older systems so it may be that the Android 6 is just not going to work.

Presumably he is ok as the site is up so the bills must be paid. Beyond that we can only guess what other projects or life have taken up his time. A few of the core group hang around to see what will happen, but I doubt any new people are staying. Fingers crossed for good luck for our host.

But I don't mean redundant, part of the workflow is on the public server and part is on a remote backend. Perhaps the backend is having a problem. Anyway, no work and no "tasks completed in the last hour" on the stats page for a couple days. I hope our leader comes along pretty soon and fixes things.

If you are running BOINC with multiple projects, then it will handle new work automatically if it arrives. I still have the project on my cluster just in case. It did pretty well for a month or so before work flow stopped. Now it just does other projects automatically.

That's on an Intel CPU, Linux, nvidia gtx1050. I think many other GPUs don't have a version built for them, and CPUs are more or less orphaned as well. I think the operator (one single person who does this as a hobby) is both very busy with real life and reasonably satisfied that a handful of GPUs are doing much more work than the entire project did a couple years ago. For the entire lifetime of the project minus the last year it did about 25000 total CPU years of work. Since the GPU version it's up to 175000 in just a few months. So, don't be bitter that you're not getting work here. If you want to do DC and you don't get work here, just give your work to some other project. The poor guy running this project doesn't owe it to us to provide what we want. It's volunteers all the way down.

I have a number of ARM chips that got work. Some got a good deal, some got just a few. One intel chip got some work. All using the standard app. I did see one of the ARMs download new apps. Or perhaps you are using the anonymous system to run an optimized app and the new system can't deal with that?
